Privacy Policy

CloudFast is built around a simple principle: founders should understand their website traffic, visitor journeys, and revenue attribution without collecting unnecessary personal information or tracking individuals across the web.
1. Information We Collect for Analytics Tracking
When you install the CloudFast tracking snippet (t.js) on your website, our script collects only the technical metadata required to generate aggregate analytics:
- Pageview Details: URL path, document referrer, and standard UTM campaign parameters (source, medium, campaign, content, term).
- First-Party Visitor Identifier: A random cryptographic string stored in the visitor's local browser storage (
localStorage.getItem('cf_vid')) to recognize returning sessions on your domain. We do not use third-party cross-site tracking cookies. - Technical Metadata: Browser name, operating system, device category (desktop, mobile, tablet), and screen resolution.
- Approximate Geolocation: Country and region resolved in memory from standard network headers. Raw IP addresses are discarded immediately and are never written to permanent database storage.
2. What We Explicitly DO NOT Collect
CloudFast is strictly designed to protect visitor privacy:
- We do not record keystrokes or password inputs.
- We do not record form field contents or personal chat messages.
- We do not record screen sessions or capture full DOM content.
- We do not track visitors across different, unrelated websites.
3. CloudFast SaaS Account Information
When you register for a CloudFast customer account:
- Account Profile: We collect your name, email address, and hashed password.
- Dashboard Authentication: We use secure, HTTP-only first-party session cookies (
sb_token) to maintain your login session in the CloudFast dashboard. - Payment Details: CloudFast subscription payments ($5/mo Starter or $9/mo Pro) are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Website analytics records are retained based on your active plan (6 months for Starter, 12 months for Pro). You can delete any of your websites or permanently delete your entire CloudFast account at any time from Settings → Delete Website or Account → Delete Account, which immediately purges all associated analytics records from our database.
